I decided to draw Ms. Pac Man for a Mothers' Day pic since I was also thinking of drawing Sue, her nemesis from the game. I mixed ideas from both the Ruby-Spears Pac-Man show design, the original U.S. coin-op art and Namco's depictions of her from the 90's forward. I threw in a weird bit of inspiration by basing the smile and the pose on 'that picture' of Betty Grable. I think the cheeks (on her face, people) on the U.S. art reminded me of Grable and I thought it'd be funny to base a pic on that pose since Ms. Pac-Man doesn't have a torso. Another reason for drawing this pic was to have some simplified art to practice converting raster art scans into vectors using Inkscape. It took a lot longer than my normal raster cleaning would take with a pic like this but the lines are much, much better.
