the Vision (Marvel Comics) - 2005
Artwork by James Beaver

Seing as how the Avengers has been one of my favorite groups since I started trying to read comics as a toddler, It's no wonder that I'm a Vision fan. He was created in that book (the John Buscema cover of which inspired the pose of this picture) and has usually been found there. With the incredibly cool power to change his density to become as intangible as a ghost or become more physically dense as... dang near anything, he's been one of the most essential Avengers to ever grace the roster. Besides always wanting to draw a solo pic of the Vision, I really drew it for two different people: my uncle Curtis (who has been an Avengers fan since way back) and a friend that I know from the MUGEN boards named Bemitri who plans to make a Vision character for that fighting game.

I kinda screwed-up here because I was originally going for a slight bird's-eye view here, but didn't angle it enough. That's why he looks so elongated or something. I think the only reason why people forgive this picture is the face. He looks a bit expressive while still looking not-quite-human. I think that I got that right in this pic and I'll try to carry that on the next time I draw him.
