I've been trying to do a decent T'Challa pic for years, but I never liked the any of them turned out or they just looked too similar to other pictures of him. I didn't ink with the heavy black areas I usually use because 1.) I'm still getting used to inking in Clip Studio Paint Pro and 2.) I usually regret inking like that when I start coloring and something in the lighting doesn't match up. I'll probably make an alt version of this with the cape later, especially since I plan to convert this into pixel art to use in the fake screenshot generators on ScrollBoss. The statue that's seen faintly in the back is the Panther totem seen in Fantastic Four #52, T'Challa's first appearance. Unwanted trivia: I finished the background on my 43rd birthday. |
