I started the light pencils at a friend's house and I'm still a bit shocked that I didn't botch it. After nearly being done with the picture, I remembered that I'd drawn the Flash in a similar way and it turns out that I even had them leading with the same foot. Luckily the outfit design is horizonally symmetrical so I knew I could just change the arm poses a bit, ink it then digitally flipped the picture after scanning it.
The gallery page for my earlier Cap pic that I self-nagged myself into drawing a boring pic because I suddenly realized I'd be covering much of the arm. "People are going to call me lazy!" That's why I drew him without the shield on his arm and you can find that version on this gallery page too. As much as it looks like that would let me make a variant with orignal USDA Choice shield, I don't like it enough to draw it. The background was done in 2011. |
