While most people remember Captain Commando from the Marvel vs. Capcom game, this pic is mostly based on the look from his arcade game, Captain Commando The main difference is the design of the pants and slightly simplified arm design. The crazy armor is a pain to draw without 3-view turnaround reference especially when the official artwork has slightly different designs to them. I was trying to keep some of the exagerrated proportions from the official art but that didn't fully work here. Still, Captain Commando's original game is one of my favorite scrolling brawlers of all time and it's good to finally get around to drawing the main man. |
