This picture is the first of larger sized cutouts and was done before the whole 1980's retro-boom hit. I'm not exactly sure here, but I think I think it was drawn in 1998, but never colored it until 1999. When I first drew the picture, most of the metallic details weren't there because I was going to mimic the coloring style of the cartoon. I re-inked it later to give it that metallic-finish look. The background is a combo of acrylic paints applied by regular brushes with airbrush shading. Not that I thought that I'd achieve it, but I was going for an 'animation background' look for it. As usual, his trailer has magically disappeared or something. It's better if you don't try to apply any logic to this stuff. If it gives you a headache, it's your own fault. |
