I couldn't decide on which Flash to draw so I asked my friend/Flash fan Billy Kingsley to chose for me. He chose Barry, so I tried to draw him in a way that you could tell from the face and body that it's Barry and not Wally. The pose is slightly inspired by a picture of the Flash that'd appear on the upper corner of his comic covers back in the 70's. This was the last pic that I pencilled for 2004 and was inked, scanned and flat-colored in 2005. I finally got around to finishing it in 2007 so this pic spans five years of procrastination!
One more important note: this pic is dedicated to the memory of Irv Novick, the artist who drew most of the Flash's adventures back when I was just a lil' kid. When I was drawing it, I used Novick and Infantino art as reference, because those are the two artists that made me a fan of the Flash. Mr. Novick also drew many other great comics, including Batman and Wonder Woman. To learn more about him, take a look at the link below:
