Hulk (Marvel Comics) - 1996
Artwork by James Beaver

A lot of people that look through my artwork folder now still like this one. There's just this certain way that the savage version of the Hulk's face should be drawn, in my opinion. You can't just give the Hulk the same face that every other big character has. I think it's based on the Sal and John Buscema way of drawing him that's stuck with me. I think I made him a bit too ripped, but I got close to the 'thick trunk" shape that I wanted him to be in. Monsters shouldn't look like they use ab machines 'that target the obliques' and all that crap. Next time, nothing but thick, chunky monster Hulk. BTW: the junk he's holding is just junk, except for some definite robot parts. Otherwise, it's just a big mess. Probably didn't even hide a Wu-Tang symbol in there or anything.
