Longway - Stretch punch (Longway) - 2007
Art by James Beaver

This character, originally named Longfellow (after poet Henry W. Longfellow), goes all the way back to my elementary school comics and Lego minifig sessions. I keep flip-flopping between wanting to use the old name for some reason. Originally, he was a good bad guy that turned into a good good guy. Besides the obvious stretching power, he has the ability to absorb energy as well as a lot of impact. This picture pretty much just 'fell out of my head' while trying to sketch out a completely different character from the same team, the Vigilants. Though not perfect, it'll do for a nice lil' profile picture. It took me more time to redesign the outfit than it did to draw it. The recent addition of a goatee to his design was to make him look different (and older) than my other character M-Wave. You'll learn a bit more about this cat later this year.
