 After some fine, fine people told me that they were okay with how the Alex picture turned out, I thought this River City Ransom/Kunio-Kun drawing style looked decent enough to finally draw Ryan, the second player from River City Ransom. The drawing style is mostly based on the sprites and it's fun to watch it slowly evolve. I tried to make Ryan look a bit more like a pretty boy because that's the vibe I always got from Riki, his counterpart in the Japanese games. The pose here only slightly references the US box art since I plan to do that as a full-on picture once I get this style looking good enough to do it justice. |
