Rocky/Manuke fighting-scale sprites (Kiki Kaikai) - 2011
Artwork by James Beaver

This is Rocky from the Pock & Rocky series on the SNES. Rocky, originally known as Manuke in the original Kiki Kaikai series in Japan, was actually the final boss who Pocky (a.k.a. Sayo-Chan) had to defeat in the original Kiki Kaikai arcade game. I based his look on the image used in the character select/player start screen from the first Super Nintendo/Super Famicom game by Natsume. His size is based on a Sayo-Chan sprite edit I made using CvS sprites. The first version of this that I had on ScrollBoss didn't have enough of a gut and this is the next-to-last frame you'll see on the progress animation I've linked to down there.
