Tobal No. 1 - Posedown (Tobal) - 1999
Artwork by James Beaver

Yes, another piece of fan art from a game that many people haven't heard of before. Sigh. Anyway, these are the two female characters from Tobal No. 1, one of the first decent 3-D fighting games on the Playstation 1. The large woman is Mary Ivonskaya and the smaller one is Epon. I don't like copying other artist's styles, but there's no way that you can draw these characters without using the style of Akira Toriyama (yes, the Dragonball Z creator). Any attempts to dodge that usually look a bit disturbing and/or boring. Even though it was a few years old by the time that I tracked the game down, I still enjoyed the gameplay and it's a crying shame that Square never brought over part 2.
