Ace here dates back to around 1989 or so. The name came first and the weaponry came afterwards with the idea that she was the 2nd Ace who preferred nunchaku over the fighting staffs of the original. Her original outfit was silver and black but I changed the silver to white after thinking that people may think she looked too much like Marvel's Silver Sable (who had short hair at the time). She also started off with a ponytail, but I thought that'd be too tempting of a disadvantage to have in combat and she's all about the fight. But the old mask/hair combo I gave her after that didn't make much sense. After many recent redesign attempts, this pic and it's alternate versions show where I'm going with the outfit. Also removed the red stripe from the sides of her outfit, but I may put them back soon. The original scan had a fully hooded head, but it turned out fugly. I drew a separate head with a slightly modded hairstyle and I'll digitally recreate the full hood version from that one. Eh, I'll explain all this in her character profile soon. |
