Here's another G.I.JOE-related cutout and this one features Destro in his second outfit. Except for that thing I've mentioned about making them a bit too skinny to avoid making them look 'superheroic', I like how this one turned out. Some fans don't like Destro having angular parts on his facemask, but I think it looks like he's wearing metallic facepaint when if the angles aren't there. Also, it makes him look more distinctive and unique.
Since I didn't have a 'net connection back then, I'd ask friends or relatives which versions of characters they'd like to see. One of my best friends, Steve Skinner (R.I.P.) was a big Destro fan and said I should draw him in this outfit (his 2nd) instead of the original. I'm glad, because there's more detail in this uniform and provided more of a challenge. |
