Magneto (Marvel Comics) - 2005
Artwork by James Beaver

Back when I was selling off a bunch of my old Super Powers and Secret Wars action figures, I had the weird idea to draw really quick pics of them to go along with each figure. Never really followed through with drawing them all and only a few were good enough to be shown to other humans. This... really isn't one of them. I think there's only a few reasons for this pic to be on here. For one, it's a reminder to redraw it while remembering not to make him crooked at the waist. The other: to trick more X-Men fans onto the site. Anyway, one thing that I like about this is that I was getting closer to the smug, superior look that he has on his face (even if it looks more like he smelled bad eggs here). Because, let's be honest: Magneto's a jerk. What'd he do in his first years of being a villain? Made his daughter fight the X-Men while wearing a swimsuit, tried to murder his old wheelchair-bound former friend and kicked a frightened 80 pound mutant as a form of stress release.
